On April 26th, the third beta version of WordPress 6.0, Beta 3, was unleashed for testing the new features it brings. This development version of the WordPress 6.0 Software is not recommended for installation or operation on live or mission-critical Websites. Instead, it’s advised to test it on separate Testing servers and sites.
Key highlights of fresh features in WordPress 6.0 Beta 3 include:
1. Introduction of alternative JSON files for enhanced functionality.

9. wp_enqueue_block_style() has been relocated to wp-includes/script-loader.php for improved consistency.
10. Administrator-related hooks have been shifted to admin-filters.php, streamlining backend operations.
11. Updates to the Webfonts API and stylistic alterations have been implemented.
12. Support for “Webfonts API: Managing local fonts with PHP or theme.json” introduced in WordPress 6.0 Beta 1 continues in this version. Theme authors can now leverage webfonts in their theme.json, and a public API is provided for plugin developers to register and schedule webfonts for future WordPress releases.
